Dynalube is a new kind of lubricant made from cottonseed oil. It is usually employed in water-base drilling fluid to reduce down-hole torque and friction. This product is characterized by high resistance to extreme pressure, thermal stability at 200℃(392℉), environment friendly, and convenient application. It is not made from sulfonation process, so does not contain any sulfur.
Its dosage in the drilling fluid is usually 0.5% - 1.0%.
Typical physical properties as below:
Appearance: brown to black oily liquid.
Density (g/cm3): 0.95 - 1.05
pH value(0.5wt% Water Solution): 7- 8
Flush Point (PMCC): > 110°C
Reduction of lubrication coefficient: ≥ 70 %
Solubility: Easily Disperses in water to form a milky emulsion
