BIO-PAQ is a special starch derivative as an effective filtrate control additive for water-base drilling fluids.It is made froma variety of starch mixtures through moderate crosslinking and carboxymethylation.
BIO-PAQ is suitable for many kinds of water-base drilling fluids. It is partcularly effective when elevated bottomhole temperature is encountered up to 250F℉(121°C),and when high-salinity brine is used to make up water-base mud. BIO-PAQ can provide sufficient LSRV (low shear rate viscosity) to avoid drill solids and weighting material sagging in the annulus.
BIO-PAQ is environmentally safe, presenting neither toxicity nor ecological problems.
